Okay, so the shocks/struts/springs are done, and it's time for some new wheels and tires. I'm set on 15x7 +41 Enkei RPF1's (though still deciding between the silver and chrome finishes), and I thought I was set on Kumho Ecsta 4X's in 195/55/R15, but I've been trolling around the interwebs, and I'm wondering about the General G-Max AS-03's.... I wouldn't have trusted General a couple of years ago, but Conti owns them now, and I trust that...
From what I've seen, the Generals offer better wet/winter traction, coupled with the expected better tread wear and slightly lighter weight.
The Kumho's have better dry traction (significantly, by some accounts) and a quieter, more comfortable ride.... plus an included (limited) warranty.
Price is close enough to be a nonfactor.
So.... I know tons of people have the Kumho's and almost everyone seems to like them, but does anyone have experience (first-or-secondhand) with the Generals???
Inquiring minds want to know...
