josh from florida blew a rod long before the rod bolts broke. personally i dont see any point in getting these cause the rods seem like they would take more abuse on the power stroke rather than the bolts which take strain on the exhaust and compression stroke.

I strongly believe in beefing up an engine that is going to be putting out more H.P. at higher revs, or using forged pistons..... I have trashed a lot of engines but I can't recall ever having a rod end cap bolt stretch or break.... I have seen more than a few messed up and distorted (oval shaped) rod end caps though.... On a boosted motor the additional force will be on the upper side of the rod..... When the cam grinders come through for us and we are able to turn higher revs, the stronger rod bolts may be on a lot of shopping list as a necessity.

We can give you the credit though can't we?..... A classic example of how the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

If they are made for racing they are going to be costly. Check out their prices on other rod cap bolts to get an idea.
