Hey I have a random question about this. Does this intake come with that catch can in the picture? I have been considering adding a can to my setup instead of the dinky little filter but i have no clue where i would put it or how to set that up lol

I would be twice as damn happy if it arrives with a catch can

I don't think the catch can included and by the looks of it... I'm sure it's a universal can just like this UNIVERSAL 750ML ENGINE OIL CATCH

this...

Hm, I'm down for the group buy, will this work on a manual as well? Also, is the filter re-usable or do you have to keep buying new ones? Finding a twisted filter like that is going to be next near to impossible..

it will work on both M/T & A/T. The type 2 (newest version) now uses dry cone filter.
here's mine... version 2

I updated the first page with proper and latest version images

I'd be interested in this for sure. Not sure if my funds could support this right now, but if this group buy takes a month or two, I should be able to pull it off.

I like the look of this.. What is the diameter of the tubing and is the "chamber" hollow or is it have baffles etc? What are the benefits of having longer twisty bends rather than a shorter straight intake? Thanks in advance and for posting.

good question on the chamber part... it should just be a chamber in itself. this are really quality intakes. well thought and designed.

Thanks for the info.. It looks like there are 2 different diameters and assuming the chamber is hollow what would be the benefits of that? Does it collect air to keep the system full longer? Is the larger tubing before or after the MAF? Sorry for all of the questions but I'm very interested and after dealing with the intake I've had I'm just trying to educate myself before considering the plunge. Thanks again.

Found this shop in Japan selling them for $335. A shipping forwarding service would need to be used to get them exported.

Rakuten: TOPFUEL (top fuel) ZERO1000 (1000 zero) Pawachanba Type 2 (carbon type) fit GE6/GE8, Freed for GB3- Shopping Japanese products from Japan

I've already done my homework before starting this thread and you will end up paying about the same. But it's the assurance and piece of mind that your purchase is safe, secure, and will be taken cared of of anything happens to it while enroute to you.

You're buying from a seller 1000s miles away you don't know vs buying and sealing the deal with a handshake from the person you bought it from...

If buying as a group doesn't save us much, if anything, then why not link us to where you purchased so people can buy at their own discretion, without having to wait for a GB to gain interest?

Here you go... third post down https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ntake-ge8.html give them a call and ask for Ming (owner) and just tell them you're from fitfreak... heck whatever you need and it's in Japan, he can most likely get it for you

I started this GB thread to save a few $ from shipping and or discounted price. Like I said before... I'm not making a penny out of this. Just sharing to who might be interested.

Thank you, I'm still holding off for funds, but I just thought it odd to hold those back from getting one sooner than later if the GB won't be saving them much.

Has there been a discussion with Ming about a possible discount per order amount?
