WOW!!! Something like that for the GE8 would be perfect. Love that discreet design.

I'd still like to see better pics if possible of the first design JDP did, I can't really make it out. (even though that's a good thing )

That would be nice but keep in mind what's below that panel. The brake fluid reservoir is sitting in the way.

Cool

That Gruppe M scoop looks nice on that Civic but the section that JDP is making the scoop on is angled outward and is sitting above the brake fluid resoirvoir.

If this is the optimal height and width then we can only really have to talk about the shape. I think the shape is good and is aesthetically pleasing. So it achieves the OEM look in my opinion. Will have to reserve further judgement when I see the final mock-up with the actual scoop and grill. In the future I'd like to request a profile shot--a side view of the piece (less from the top and more of the side), and make it a close up.

Just to give you an update, john is almost done with the first mock-up in a couple of days. I will get more and much better pictures once he is done.

I think this is a neat idea and all, but I don't know that it's good for anything but looks. The Fit's intake air path grabs air through the grille and channels it pretty directly to where the stock airbox or an SRI, like the PRM one, terminates - a pretty efficient design as is.

Also, is it going to have a mesh insert or anything to keep odd debris out?

ALright guys,
I didn't want to bother John so much so he can finish the final design. So far the mold is complete. Give him til next week to finalize the mold and fitment. If everything is good from there, he will start producing it and shipping it out. I will post up the final pictures once he has it complete.
