I'm looking for a grille that would easily swap in our 2012 Fits. There isnt much out there.
Maybe something like this minus the Honda badge....

Both of you have the same grille... JDP makes one like the one on that civic Adrian.

 

someone was telling me that 11 and 12 where slightly different. Does that mean I can use the Mugen grille?

 

Maybe they are different. They don't appear to be but I maybe wrong. Anyone else care to chime in?

 

The 2012 seem bigger to me-- they stretch out to the headlights unlike our GE8's. Yea?

Yeah, as mentioned the 09-11 GE8's have slightly different grills.



That looks like the J's Racing grill, if I'm not mistaken they make that for the GE8's as well, but that would require a JDM front conversion to make it fit.
Your other option is to get some one like JDP to make one with that style, but you'd probably have to have a minimum order. Email JDP, see what he says, and then start an interest thread.


I too like the older JDM sport grill with the chrome accent, since I'm not doing a conversion, I've got another little idea for modding the grill.

It doesn't look anything like the J's Racing style you're going for, but I got my idea from this below.
I can't find any pics of the 09-11 JDM GE8 sports grill, but it basically has the (thicker) chrome strip all around the border/edge as opposed to just on top as Tork's mod shows.

I'm going to trial an error a few different chrome trims, and see which fit/look better. I'll post up updates when I do the mod.

 

If you have enough interest JDP will usually work w/ you to make a product...worked for me and the duckbill.

 

A J's Racing-esque grille is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. However, if JDP were to produce it, I don't want it to have the same fitment issues as the one for the 09-11 has.
Honestly, ANY options would be nice. Nothing is happening for the 2012.

 

well if anyone takes on this cause and is trys to make one that looks like J's then put me on the list.

Those Hexagons are ugly and a pain to clean and dry.
