Skid Plates?

Alright dumb question. Since everyone lowers their car when they get custom rims to complete the "look", doesn't scraping become an issue? Do you guys do anything to protect stuff like adding skid plates like they do in rally racing?

Interestingly, the only people I've seen who put skid plates on their cars are rally folks and they usually raise the ride height.

Usually drivers of 'slammed' cars just adjust their driving as much as possible and take the scrapes.

i bought a skid plate for my wrx...it actually helped when i got in my accident, and the insurance company replaced it, too. there was someone in a recent thread that made a DIY plate, maybe he'll help you out if you're interested. the thread is: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...at-doesnt.html

the only time i scrape my car is the front lip or exhaust when i go over speed bumps or driveways, but that's extremely steep ones, other than that, i never scrape, you start to learn when you have a slammed car
