Any else notice that 4th gear has the slightest bit of gear whine? It's the only gear that does it and I can only hear it if the windows are up, radio is off, and AC is off. Otherwise it's so quiet I can't hear it, just the faintest noise ever so the car has to be silent to notice it. If you have a manual try it please. I usually hear it around 40mph in 4th.

 

yea..ive heard it too. Its super hard to hear sometimes...but yes i know what your talking about. Something to keep in mind though. Our cars are small and light for a reason. We have no extra insulation, padding where its not needed..etc. At stops with everything turned off (a/c, radio), i can hear my gas slosh around under me. So it doesnt suprise me that we can hear mechanical noises here and there.

 

I thought the same thing, and hence I am not that concerned. I just wanted to make sure I was not the only one. Thanks =)
