Anyways, this is the first car we've ever owned with MP3 CD support.

I've burned a couple of CD-Rs on my XP box and was sure to 'close CD' so it can be read on other systems.

Alas, these keep getting spit out of the Fit as 'BAD DISK'.

These disks are readable just fine on my MacBook and other computers in the house.

Am I missing something obvious to get these disks to work? Does the Fit stereo prefer some specific CD-R or CD-R format?
To Sum Up and some.
You need to make only a MP3 cd.
You can use either a CD +/- R/RW.
You should divide it into folders as either albums or similar music types, or something so that you can change types of music by folders. (With the buttons on the Sports' player, you can either change tracks or change folders, sort of like a multi disc player.)
If you can't get your current burning software to work, you can find a copy of Nero or use your iTunes. And, it won't read DVD's.
Oh and when you are adding the music to the burning software, include the in each of the folder/albums so they show up on the Fit's player.

(I like using the cd +/- RW so I can reuse them.)
Thanks!

It may also be possible you happen to have a crappy batch of CD's. Or That the fit just hates a particular brand/and or dye of the cd
