Has anyone cleaned their throttle body?

I I just took off the battery cables on my gal's 2003 Camry (120K miles) to clean them. Immediately after, the idle dropped to like 300 RPM. I found this is common-over time things get crudded up, but the computer compensates for it. Pulling the cables reset the computer to the default throttle profile...which was then too low! A local garage did a thorough fuel system cleaning and presto! Idle's up, runs better, too.
