2010 Fit Weekend Warrior

Just to start I love everything about my new fit. I used to go up to the canyons here in arizona to run through the twistys up there and wonder if I can make the fit great for running in the canyon on the weekends and still maintain the stock suspension. I wanted to get input on if strut bars are worth it and what exactly I will get with them. I will also be replacing the stock dunlop tires with real tires to get some more grip. Not necesarily worried about speed just want to maintain the speed in the corners without sacrificing the ride quality. Thanks for everyones opinions.

Tires, alignment, and rear sway bar if you want to maintain the stock suspension and ride quality. These made the biggest difference on the stock susp setup.
Don't forget brakes are important too for canyon runs. Good set of pads and brake fluid are a must.

I am looking into upgrading the stock rotors. Is this going to give a big boost in the stopping distance. I notice a lot of people using the integras slotted rotors but I am seeing some online aswell. Any inputs on which rotors to go with? Slotted, drilled, or drilled and slotted. Thanks again.

If u upgrade to bigger rotor/calipers then yes it will improve your braking performance substantially.
The past cars I had slotted, cross drilled, dimpled rotors it did nothing to improve braking performance. But they did look sexy behind the wheels though.

heres a topic on bigger brake upgrade:

to optimize down hill touge with stock sussy you have to remove your rear seats, ss brake lines, better brakes(bigger rotors maybe two piece for weight savings and better heat dissipation, bigger calipers with better clamping force. if not just upgraded rotors and sports pads with better brake fluid), lighter wheels, proper alignment.

imo i wouldnt run a rsb on a street car since lift off mid corner can cause snap oversteer during max driving.

damn... it must be amazing driving the fit in these conditions!
If you want better handling, a rear sway bar is your best bang for the buck! you can also put a front strut to even things out... if you're going to change your rotors, don't go with drilled... slotted are'nt bad because they eliminate the risks of glazing... but it's still pretty useless... just go with a set of plain brembos... for the tires, go with a higher speed rating... i changed from S to H and it feels a lot better! but you can even higher!
