no anti seize? use maalox!

no anti seize? use maalox!

So, funfact I just learned watching gearz on spike, apparently if you are out of anti-seize, maalox works just as well! According to the show it doesn't burn off either so you can use it on exhaust parts. Very useful info for the diy mechanic stuck assembling without anti-seize.

Kind of makes you wonder what's in that stuff though

Isn't malox just tarted up milk of magnesia?
Folks have used MoM as a temperature insensitive anti-seize for years, so it makes sense that malox would work too.

Same here.
I bought a medium sized bottle of anti-seize (8oz I think) a few years ago and looks like it will probably last my lifetime. Don't need to use much that stuff.
