Cold air without AC(kind of)

I have noticed that if I ran AC for some time(30min-1hr) you can get very decent residual cooling for another 2hours or more. Temperature does go up a little but it was definitely lower then outside and vents were blowing cold air. I was driving on highway hot sunny summer afternoon and the only setting that I have changed was to shut off AC button(Cold air, Fan speed 2, Fresh air/NOT recycled setting). Hope this helps to get more MPGs for others

Yup, that works... Good practice too 5-10 min before arriving at your destination. Dries up your system before shutdown so the moldy smell won't be there next time.

I do the same thing sometimes to help regulate the temp in the car and not freeze myself.

I wasn't aware of the added benefit of drying the system. Thanks Subie.

Another hypermiling technique I use is to hang a few car lengths behind big rig trucks when I can safely do it.
