AC problems

Hello Fit Freaks,

I have lurked for a while but this is my first post. The wife and I bought a Milano Red AT base model in mid-July. We really like the car but I have been having some problems with the air conditioning. I read posts concerning the cycling that the units go through and the resulting warm air. However, my problem is different.

With greater frequency, the air conditioning will continue to blow cold air but the volume of air coming from the vents will diminish to probably a fourth of the normal air flow. Turning off the AC to vent only will bring it back to full volume but eventually it tapers off again. Again, the air remains cold but it feels if fan setting four feels like about one under normal circumstances.

Any ideas? I have not had it back to the dealership yet for the service guys to take a look.

Thanks,
JKR

That is strange... I don't get the hot air anymore, when the car slows down I put on recycle and problem solved But I think a visit to the dealer is in order in your case. Good luck!

update:

Actually if the blower motor is venting air and then slows down, then it may not be the culprit, but something else in the system. Definitely have the dealer check it.
