2013 Fit HID Projector Headlamps

Hi Every Fit Owners,
I just got my new 2013 Fit and I'm planning to change the headlamps to HID Projector type. I searched on the internet but nothing's there. Is it too early to look for it? The dealer told me 2012 & 2013 is the same. Does it mean I can buy the 2012 HID Projector headlamps for my car?
Happy New Year

they do make HID projector headlights for the Fit Shuttle. I just can't find any vendors selling the OEM ones.

Yes—any accessories or parts for the 2012 will work equally as well (or poorly, as the case may be) on the 2013. The body, mechanics, and options are completely identical for the two model years. The only difference is in a couple of paint color options.

I assure you those projectors are halogen projectors with poor output.

Go on ebay and buy a HID kit.

Remove your daytime running lights fuse, its the second 10 amp under a 20amp. Look at the fuse diagram under the steering wheel/kick panel, you will understand.

My del sol ran off a $50 HID ebay kit for 2 1/2 years.

All you need to do is find a seller that offers the kits with OEM ballasts from a vehicle or german ballasts. Bulbs are cheap as hell, less then $15 per if you ever change your mind on color or burn one out.

BIGGEST reason cheap HID kits burn out
--you have a shitty battery
--shitty alternator
--you slobbered your human filthy skin grease all over hte bulb (lol)
--you didnt buy the relay harness that uses the factory bulb harness for signal to turn on, but actual power from battery

I just removed the daytime running light fuse from my 2013 Fit fuse panel.
It was a 7.5 amp fuse in position #15.
But maybe all 2013 Fit's are not the same.

I wish Honda put that fuse label in a place it was easier to read.

I just ordered a fuse label decal from my Honda dealer, to keep it with
my owners manual.

Aftermarket HID's that aren't retrofitted OEM projectors/reflectors are cop magnets due to the glare. I had them on my old Mark 8 after one of the proprietary DC HID bulbs went out and I got pulled over ALL the time for them. Never got a ticket because I always claimed they were factory and showed my owners manual but it was still annoying as all get out.

I finally go my HID lights. However, I have to disable the DRL by removing the fuse. HID only works on/off, and the DRL is kind of in between like a dimmer. It makes the HID flickering.

I'm wondering there's a bunch of wires tie into the headlight plugs, is some wires works for the DRL. What's the color? I need the headlight wire diagram. If it's possible, I want to keep my DRL and re-route it to the fog lights that I bought.

there is no additional wire for DRL. it uses the same circuit high beam uses (DRL is actually the high beam filament itself, but at lower power).

The only way to keep DRL and properly functioning HID is to add all kinds of relays and stuff. basically, figure out a way to route power to a DRL bulb when the circuit isn't at normal high beam mode while also preventing any from going to the HID. then flip it when you are actually using high beam.

so, it can get fairly complicated.
