so i emailed buddy club whom than sent me to Axion industries to inquire about GK5 short shifters.

it seems like they both do NOT have any plans to make short shifters for GK5 anymore however, Axion industries advised me that Acuity might be start producing short throw shifters for GK5 at a price of $430

btw, is that "modified" short shifter from CR-Z, or is it CR-Z shifter?

when i emailed buddyclub and axion industries, they kept saying that CR-Z short shifter would not fit, it has be modified =S

So this one will work for a 2015?? I've been very disappointed with the shifter even after adding the Acuity bushing.

Yes it works, there is some modification needed on the shifter base and on the white plastic cap on the bottom end where one of the shifter cables attaches, but it works.... i have it on my 2017...i also have the bushings and it feels pretty solid...

Thanks. That' what I'm looking for to make my ride much better before I purchase rims. Real easy mods needed or is there a post explaining how to install the shifter?

The installation is pretty easy, the part that took me a bit more than probably expected was taking off the shifter cables since i tried to doi it carefully so i wouldn't brake anything.... other than that... grab a 6 pack of beers and dive into it...

Things to remove
-Pull shiftboot collar down...
-Remove shift knob
-Philips bolt where the power outlet and usb and aux connections are (top left corner)
-Another Philips on the drink tray (front middle)
-2 plastics screws on each side of center console
-remove back cover of center console (from passenger area is easier)
-Remove power outlet connector and 2 more Philips screws.....
-Remove rectangular plastic cover from under e-brake
-put it in 4th gear and wiggle the console and it will come out

I think thats it...

After 2 1/2 years... and actually keeping the car. I bought the acuity and short shifter a long with a dremel to trim the parts on the short shifter from buddy club. Couldn't wait for acuity to finally sell their version. Anywho... I installed the Acuity shifter bushings first and I gotta say it may the car feel better. More mechanical. Then I installed the short shifter, I sliced my finger open, and a few bad words in spanish later... I like the outcome of the short shifter.

I followed this to remove the center console.

If you have the center console arm... there is two screws on the lower back of the center console... you gotta remove the plastic bezel in the back where the rear seats are at. I'll post photos after my hand heals of what I am talking about lol...
