2015+ Short Shifter...

I just bought the 2018 Honda Fit Sport... and I know the 2015 parts fit the car... However... I having a hard time finding the short shifter. I do see the GD3 and GE8 have the same config for the shifter... is it the same for the GK?

If you know a link feel free to post.

Much appreciated

There are products out there like SEEKER's Super Shift (??????? for GK5 6MT - SEEKER WEB ?????) that lower the attachment point of the cable and raise the base up to compensate. However, the throw will become shorter there will still be play in the shifter mechanism (which I believe is a different design from GD and GE, someone correct me if I am wrong) Buddyclub's short shifter is just a modified version of their CR-Z shifter but works well from what I've heard. If you can wait it out till the end of the year, Acuity Instruments should be releasing a solution for us

As it happens, i too just bought a 2018 sport a few days ago and had the same question.

Since i was worried it wouldn't fit the new model, I called Buddy Club and they said the H007 short shifter for GK5s was incompatible with models past 2014.
nisco, have you found that to be untrue?

Now, you mention Acuity, and I'm 100% down with waiting for one from them. I sent an email asking about it; their other products are great, and their presentation is decent.

I added the Acuity shifter cable bushings to my 18 Sport. They improve the shifter feel immensely with a much more positive and mechanical feel. I actually feel the shift throw is just right for a stock shifter.

Keep in mind, the op asked for a "short shift". The acuity bushings, will not achieve that. Though it DOES, provide a nice, solid, "clicky" feel .... which is nice in its own right

$159 for the modded crz short shifter:
2015+ Honda Fit Gk5 Buddy Club custom short shifter - Axion Industries

From what I "heard from a friend", that acuity short shifter kit, will retail for 2x the price of the buddy club

I have a 2015 EX. I bought the buddyclub short shifter. (Crz shortshifter) I did have to whilden some of the mounting areas on it to get it to bolt in. Other than that, the cables connected without a struggle. The throw is a deal shorter than stock. I did add a 3 inch extension as well which did add length to the throw but keeps the knob closer to the wheel. I've been using that set up for 2 years now. No issues and love the set up. Excuse the mess.

I have both the Buddy Club short shifter (mentioned above) and the Acuity bushings. If I had the money to do only one, would do the short shifter.

I installed both, the acuity shifter bushings and the modified short shifter, and feels great!
The bushings got rid of an anoying clicking sound everytime I put it on 1st gear... and also made it feel more solid
The Shifter did its job flawlessly, when even my wife told me:

"Why does the shifter now sits lower, feels more solid/stiffer and its way more sorter between gears...?"

A that moment i thought.... ok the shifter is approved!!🤪

Its not gonna say fit, since it is made for the CR-Z but the placement and form of the floor on GK's and CR-Z's are the same....

Oh also I am thinking of doing ACUITY shift cable bushing because of annoying click that I get from getting into 1st gear. it looks like that bushing helps a lot

I emailed Acuity today to check on the status of the GK5 shifter and they replied that it is in development , no ETA, but hoping for a release around year end.
