Who needs to search it, or share on a forum when you can ask Facebook!
I just wanted to share a brief interaction I had, in the Fit Freak FB Group (ironic isnt it, FF has a Facebook group and yet, we lack activity on these boards)
TL;DR = guy asks for tuning options for 2018 ... one person said "hondata" and I ask the person to provide more details .... person tells me to "google it", I show my findings.... we exchange some words.... and in the end.... we waste each others time ... and the advice given for "hondata" was utter crap. The end / they lived happily ever after
its the reason I left most fb groups, like tfc, gk5 specific groups, etc. I only stay in that one because I figured, it may be as good as things are on here, but its a totally diff culture on there
Seriously, though, Facebook is a cesspool. You'll be happier in life if you close your account. I'm not just speaking hyperbole, there are studies to that effect.
I've gone the past 2 months w/o an ISP, and I must admit, the simpler life (no internet) is rather glorious
It does have its down sides though, simple tasks like paying a bill or ordering stuff from amazon, is a chore (go to star bucks, mooch free wifi, leave)
Everything has a place. Why do we need a social platform to support the social platform? The group should occupy a space that holds nothing more than a hyper link to the forum.

The three predominantly active FB Fit groups that I see are usually filled with either...
A) Content that could be easily found in the owner's manual.
B) Content that could be easily found on this forum.
C) People not actually putting forth effort in their searches (like mentioned in original post)
D) Redundant and frequently inaccurate posts. (Double face palm worthy as well. "Fits will flip with wider tires.")
These groups on FB are much more readily accessible than getting on a forum (or using Google) and searching or checking the owner's manual for their answer. People aren't willing to put in a much effort (if any at all) in attempt to find an answer with proof to back it up. Similar goes with people who post of inaccurate mind barf like the individual above claiming 2018s can use Hondata without proof supporting it. Its dumbfounding to see some of the inaccurate posts in those groups... especially TFC. -.-
Most of the dudes running these pages aren't knowledgeable about fits themselves, so there is no filter. By the time I left the fitfreak page I was the only one who'd made an administrative action in the past three months, adding members, removing them, removing posts, etc.
Without a filter a lot of stupidity gets through, especially among other people without knowledge.
