Marker light

Need advice, both rear marker(amber) lights not working on a 2010 FIT. Have replaced bulbs that I bought from Honda dealer. Other lights working and light sockets seem okay. Anyone have this problem? any idea what is wrong?.

Hard to say my dude. Just gotta go upstream from the end.

If it’s not the bulbs, check to see if you’re getting voltage on the contacts with a voltmeter. If there’s no voltage it might be the harness.
Try different grounds, maybe the grounding connection is corroded. Try different points on the car body to see if there’s voltage across the wire and different grounds.

If you’re not getting any voltage then check the relays in the fuse box. You could see if the fuse box is seeing voltage, and if it is, but you’re not getting anything downstream, it maybe a blown fuse or relay.

If the relay or any associated fuses aren’t blown, it might be a harness problem further upstream. And at this point I would say bring it in.

Good luck

Azuki thanks for the reply, I have a dumb question. I just noticed the rear “marker(amber)” light is also turn signal. Should rear “marker(amber) light be on constantly, or only when turn signal is activated?.

Thanks

Don’t quote me on this, but I’m 99% sure it’s supposed to be off unless turn signal/4-way indicators are on. Maybe someone else will have an idea. If they are on constantly they might be cris-crossed with the DRL/brake or something.
