I had a thought about getting Fits from Japan

Going on, the US won't get new Fits, So how about buying used JDM models? You would have to be OK with right hand drive of course.

Cars have to be 25 years old to qualify for legal import to the states.

Even the oldest Fit is currently too new to import to the US.

You will have to wait 25 years from the cars born date before importing them into the US legally.

Even if you could do it, there's no way it would make sense to import an economy car due to all the costs IMO
