Do you get cut off constantly?

I guess it's a small car thing...and some days are better than others...but it happens at least a couple times a day. People in pickups drag race from the passing lane. Ladies in SUV's refuse to move over from the fast lane. Jerks in pickups and muscle cars speed up and refuse to let pass over passing zones. Slower drivers in random sedans will ride my butt after I pass them on narrow country roads. It's aggravating. There's a narrow mountain pass that I like that literally nobody has beat me going up or down it...but holy crap is the drama unnecessary. Muscle car drivers and these high horsepower SUV drivers act like it's a matter of life or death to try to gap the Fit. Why can't my little car just go on by?

Let me guess- is your car silver or grey or some similar shade?

It's black. I had a silver one. It was no different.

I remember reading a car review where they said that their silver Sentra was constantly cut off, like people didn't see them. I went from a red car to a silver car and started getting cut off a lot.

Then I bought a blue car and it stopped.

I really think that when your car blends in with pavement- which is gray or black- that some people don't consciously register that there's another object there and they cut too close.

I rarely get cut off, my Fit is blue.

Got cut off more in my grey Tacoma, which is what I had just before my Fit.

Maybe a bit more, but I'd mostly attribute this to the fact that I'm driving it slower than the miata, so there are more opportunities for people to be a dick to me.

I will say, it seems lowered and with wheels make a difference. No one much cared with either Fit when they were stock.

The worst is my DR650SE supermoto. It is an awesome commuter, but the red necks around here have a serious aversion to being passed by a "dirt bike."

It's the color.

My bright yellow fit is usually the one cutting off others (though no fault of mine ).
As a result I get much more respect on the roads than I had with my black 2007 Ford Focus sedan.

That's unfortunate.

I have a black and silver motorcycle that nobody really messed with because it's loud and looked angry...streetfighter style.

Ya, I had a silver SV650s with a super loud exhaust (previous owner installed).

On the road i was always heard before I was seen. I could clearly see drivers want to cut in front of me, but as soon as I got closer you could see them do a double take before proceeding.
Anyone who says "loud pipes save lives" is stupid, clearly has never been on a bike.

Mine was a built '96 Buell S1 with race exhaust. The exhaust sound reflected off the pavement and it literally shook the ground.

Yes! And my Fit is red. I do live in Florida though, and that doesn't help ;-)

I was coming to this forum because I was bored and wanted to discuss the only gripe I have when I have to drive my wife's silver 2007 Fit Sport, aggressive drivers. The Fit is an A-hole magnet for sure.

Full size pickup trucks like to do 40mph in a 25mph in order to catch up with me just so they can stare at the top of my roof from inches away for the next few miles. People will drive a foot from my bumper for miles, or pass me doing 90-100mph in a 55 just to not behind a Honda Fit. Cars play NASCAR with me on the freeway on a regular basis and will repeatedly fail to pass me and still continue to try but the whole time I've got my cruise control set. once they pass or get in front of me, they slow down once again. Either I just keep cruising at the same speed and pass them or I have to disengage the cruise control to slow down and wait until I can get around them.

Once they pass the fit, their aggression passes too and they become docile and even sometimes timid drivers once again.

Ive never experienced so much unprovoked road rage with any other vehicle.

Just yesterday I had to pass some stubborn slow guys on the highway on the right. A couple of them sped up, passed me aggressively, slowed down in front of me, then hung back again. It is such unnecessary idiocy. I feel what you're saying.

I get cut off on a regular basis (though not quite as frequently as OP) and my Fit is orange.

Funny that you should mention this - my California (Los Angeles) friend and I were chatting and he found out that I bought a Fit. His first reaction - oh you're one of those Fit drivers - weaving in/out of traffic and cutting people off. I'm not the sort at all to do that. I'd say I don't get cut off any more in my White Fit than I do in my silver RX-8 in Boston traffic. It's the other people....
