Honda Fit 2005 Not starting
Hello,
I have a 2005 honda fit that got involved in a collision. The mechanic completed repairs however, he lost the key and had to replace it. When we try to start the car, It runs for like a 30 seconds and then goes off, It also flashes Drive "D" and green key light and when you switch to other gears, it does not show the correct drive mode. The mechanic took it for diagnosis but they coudnt clear the errors. He suspects the computer box might be damaged but I beg to differ. Has anyone experienced this before? any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like an immobilizer issue maybe, what with the new key: Immobilizer System Troubleshooting
Just to clarify, I think the problem might be with the key rather than the car's system. I don't know about this car specifically but usually there's a little chip in the key that needs to be programmed to match the car for it to work.
