People are nice here

I've been on Fit Freak for over a decade and I check the board daily. I've learned a lot and I hope I've contributed a lot. As I've mentioned I got a new car and I'm selling my Fit.

For the last couple of months I've been a member of two Tesla Model Y facebook groups. And I have to say, there are a lot of jerks there (but not here). There are new people who continue to ask the same rather stupid questions (I got a nail in my tire, do I have to take it back to Tesla, or why do the wipers keep going on by themselves (it's a function of auto-pilot, to keep the camera view clear) so I understand the 'read the manual' or 'use the search function, we get that question every day' but some people there are pretty mean.

So thank you, Fit owners, for not being them.

And Facebook groups are junk! It is impossible to find useful information that was posted a while back.

Forums all the way!

It's not snootiness, they're not actually that expensive or luxurious. It's intolerance of people who don't know stuff or don't use the search function so the same questions get asked on a daily basis.

I've been inside a Tesla uber once.. the interior panels are squeaky and low quality feeling. FOR SURE.

I'm not mean, fellow FitFreaks. What I am is a would be shade tree mechanic that appreciates the technical info here. One thing, however, is that I'm completely baffled by most anything that involves automobile electrical/electronics. I need any such info spelled out for me using step by step photos - I realize explaining anything using step by step is tedious, sorry. I must have missed the basic electrical concepts class!
Ok, I know some theory like how not to attach jumper cables to the wrong terminals and how fuses work, for example. I can even pull them out to check for a break in circuit!
So, should anyone here be so inclined to help me with a electrical/electronic question, I would greatly appreciate a step by step visual tutorial.
Thank you.
Nik

I'd like to add that I've been here since the GE (I didn't own one), and have had quite a lot of help in my 9 years with my GK. Folks here really are very helpful and nice.

This is a good forum.
I belong to a Jeep forum, and motorcycle forum as well, which are a nice bunch.
Years ago I joined a toyota forum, while i had my toyota, they were so rude, and just made it an unpleasant place to be.
Talk about snooty, and they only drive a toyota, which IMHO is 1/50 as good of a vehicle as my Honda and Jeep are.
