I just got my IPOW rear view mirror phone mount.

Fits pretty good on the rear view mirror.

Reviews are pretty good.

 

Those have an absolute garbage design. All of that weight will wear the twist ball on your mirror out. Eventually it will not hold in place. The less weight on your actual rear view mirror the better. Plus it blocks your forward vision like crazy. There are much better phone holder options out there.

 

This would be illegal where I live as it blocks the view.

This seems extremely dangerously placed and is definitely illegal.

 

I've tried every car phone mount.

Cup Fone by Weather Tech
Vents mounts
Glass mounts
Dashboard mounts

All have failed at some point.

I figure that a rear view mirror car phone mount is my last resort.

This company makes way better mounts in general. I use them in all of my vehicles with no issues at all. Bicycles also.

How are these phone mounts less obstructive than the IPOW phone mount I got?

Thòse dash and window mounts eventually fall off.

 

My stick on dash mount lasted 3 years. When it got weak I just put new tape on it, that cost a couple of dollars at most. So it will also last another 3 years.

Not even a big deal.

Oh and it mounts on the face of the dash. Not above or on top of it like the obstructive nonsense you posted. Scosche has endless options...

My view isn't obstructed.

Phone view and access is on point.

Rear View mirror is clear.

Best Phone Mount I've ever had at this point.

 

Until the movement ball wears out from all of the extra weight on it.

Plus it still isn't legal and looks like total shit.
