Would A Honda Fit Be A Good Choice For An RV Owner?

I retired in February. My wife and I bought a Class C RV. I have a 14 foot Aluma trailer with a rated hauling capacity of 2990 lbs. I am considering a subcompact car to tow on that trailer. I have owned a Honda Accord in the past, so I am somewhat familiar with Honda. I am looking at a used Honda Fit. It looks like they are under 2990 lbs. Would they be a good choice for an RVer to tow behind an RV on a trailer?

@Jim1348 I don't see why not. It's a good car, and it's under 2990 lbs. But I know nothing about trailers.

My comment will assume that you're in the US. You don't have many choices for a small vehicle that fits your weight requirements, and even fewer unless you get something used. Off the top of my head: Honda Fit, Hyundai Accent, Kia Rio, Mitsubishi Mirage, Nissan Cube (barely), Nissan Versa, Toyota Prius C, Toyota Yaris. We currently have a 2010 Fit Sport (and 2014 Nissan Leaf which isn't terribly different from the Versa) and have owned or rented most of the other options above.

For my personal vehicle I prefer the Fit, but if I was towing behind an RV I might go for a Mirage as it is the smallest/lightest option. My second choice would be the Prius C for peak fuel efficiency (Mirage also gets excellent fuel efficiency). My third choice would probably be the Fit.
