you pay in the funds that they want. for instance, AJ-racing is in canada, they want Canadian money. they will quote you the price in us dollars at the current currency conversion. if you buy from japan, they want yen, but you don't have to go get yen, you just pay what the equivalent per the daily exchange rate.
Hey Arsonall,
Ok, so lets say an item is on a Canadian website for $54.
In their description of the item it states (Can) 54.00 (USD) 46.96.
Which will they charge to my cc?
I'm thinking my card should be charged $46.96, right?
Much thanks
I really appreciate it.

I have done this with credit card (easiest), wire transfer (easy, but can be costly, I had access to a German bank acount so cheap for me) international money order (P-I-T-A), and even cold hard cash (Euros, Canadian dollars, Marks, Guilders, Pounds, etc) in an envelope. Sending cash is hard now with the "strips" in the bills tho.
The vender will tell you what payment they will take. If by credit card, you be billed for the US$ amount based on the exchange on the trasfer date, and a transfer fee (generally a per-centage, check your card agreement).
Also, don't forget Customs for anything coming in to the US. Also, if it is anything for a car not meeting DOT approval, it needs to be marked (by the sender) on the box as such "For offroad use only" to match the customs paperwork.
Hope this helps!
