Engine Sound at 65mph or Greater

I am considering buying a manual trans Fit. It will be a daily driver...mixed traffic...mostly highway. My concern is at road speed, 65mph, I will hear the engine roar and over time it will make me crazy.

What is your experience in owning the manual tran...noisy or not?

5 sp sport here, 5400 miles in 7 weeks. Several long tips, 350-900 miles each way. Just about all of it driven at 70-90 MPH. Engine noise is fairly quiet at those speeds believe it or not.
What type of vehicle are you used to?

at 65MPH, nothing at all.... nice and quiet.
It starts to get buzzy right before 80MPH.

its nice. when you get an intake or loud exhaust is where the noise might be annoying

Agree 100% - Right around 80-85 mph is where I start to find it annoying in my MT. Engine noise is not bad at all. Road noise is typcally Honda, that is, a bit more than most of it's competitors.
