Smile Had a fit last night...

and I bought it!! A red 07 Sport 5AT.

Love it so far and boy is the steering responsive compared to my old car (99 Mercury Sable). Funny thing though... I thought I saw hundred dollar bills flying out of the windows as I left the dealer.. Paid MSRP of 16,565.

Well don't have a "Hissy Fit" ! LOL! Congrads we own the same car! I've had mine since May 15th and love it more each day. I paid about four hundred more than you did so you did great. Don't think of the money flying out the window but of you flying down the road in a car that will make people stop and stare! Get use to people shadowing you while you drive just to get another look! Oh, yes and by the way the money you'll save in gasoline will make you smile again. Post some pictures when you can.

well, thank you everyone. that sure is a warm welcome.

I limped into the dealership with my old car. Drove it 3/4 the way to the dealer until it started to overheat, left it in the mall overnight, then drove the last 2 miles in under 5 minutes.

No dealing was necessary; they said they can't budge and at msrp it looked like a reasonable deal with all that i have read in the fora.

I'll get some pics on here soon.

Congrats on the new car. I picked mine up 2 weeks ago for MSRP (must be an east coast thing) as well. The dealer had put on a appearance package (pin stripe and door guards) and wheel locks, but they dropped the extra they were trying to charge for them when I said they could take them back off if they wanted.
