If you did a trade i doudt that you could do a straight up deal. Maybe if you sold your car your self it could be a straight up deal.

But im not sure how much they will give on a trade, best thing to do would be to go there and have them look at your car and give you a price.

You will lose money, i did a bit, but i'm happy with my choice from going from AT to MT. I just think, "i'm going to have this car for 5years so i might as well do it" and im happy i did. I can only blame Takumi Fujiwara for my choice change.

ditto this. i lost money on my auto-to-manual trade in too.

on my original a/t...after i added the ssi intake & tanabe touring axle-back...i started to really notice and hear the gear-searching that took place on inclines. i just wasnt happy wit my fit.

its funny, after i changed my a/t back to stock in prep for my trade-in, the gear-searching was not as noticable...it sounded just fine. i think my ssi & axle-back just made it more obvious what the engine & gears were doing.

ditto again. i expect to have this car for 5+ years and didn't want to have any regrets.

im very, very happy with the m/t now. i swapped all my after-market stuff onto the m/t...except for my jdm visors...i had to get another set for my m/t.

later, i talked to my salesman..he said my old a/t was re-sold in no time.

my guess is that the dealer will give you maybe $11k on your trade.
new 5MT Sport will cost $15k, so with delivery and taxes you're
looking at paying about $5k...which ends up being a $20K+
purchase at the end. since you're expecting to put it on a
loan, this is going to be one expensive FitSport.

if you're a car enthusiast you would do it.

if you're using this car as a daily driver only, it's a waste of
money, imho.

i mentioned on another post that making a 'mistake' (for you)
on a car purchase is a very costly one to fix. if you're going
to get a MT, make sure you get the Sport so that you
dont end up making another purchase later on.

The first problem is if you trade it, you'd be trading a USED car for a NEW car. You'll probably end up a couple thousand dollars down in the deal.

If you can FIND a similar condition used on... IF... they do seem to be going for very close to what new ones sell for, but you won't GET that much if you trade in your car. You'll probably lose a bit of money.

I think either way you tried to go about it, you'd be losing some considerable coin in the deal.
