Dealer says ..."Place your order and you can get exactly what you want in 10 - 12 weeks !!!!"

Damn thats a long wait man, its going to be the longest 10-12 weeks of your life!

 

They can't trade with another dealer to get you your dream car? Seems kinda long. I waited 2 months for my 2001 GTi, they flagged it while it was on the boat, that seemed forever. The Fit they found what I wanted in the next state over, and did a dealer trade, took about a week.

That's what my dealer said May of 2006. I waited, and I got just what I wanted in August.

If it was much longer, I would have started looking at the Versa, Matrix or *gasp* the Caliber..

 

I dunno if I'm going to place an order. I'll have to see what the other dealers have to say.
The 10 - 12 week dealer was the most responsive. Responded promptly to all emails.

I don't think my beater can last that long.

 

I ordered my '08 August 23rd. Was told it was built August 20th. and I'll get it the end of September.

 

i had to wait almost 3 months for mine.it just depends on how bad you want it i guess...

 

thay all say that.. call all your local honda dealers to see if they have any in stock

 

dude just go to different dealers. they are all going to first try to sell you what they have, then tell you its a long wait. in truth, if you do the research and call every dealer around, they will have what you want. i aimlessly searched for two weeks, finally found what i wanted. two weeks of research is better than ten weeks of anticipation =)

 

Try dealing with the dealerships "Internet Sales" person. It is my experience they are more willing to look into getting stock from other dealers, or will tell you who in the area has what you are looking for. Many dealer websites also have stock posted, I think kelsodeez hit it spot on, do a little legwork and save yourself the long wait.

 

Thats who I have been dealing with. They all have a few coming in, but they are either on hold or not exactly what I want.

 

I'll try that. I have contacted all in a 50 mile radius (or so). I think 5 or 6 in all. None have any. I think I will expand the fall-out area

 

Dealer has a SSM coming in end of the month/1st week of October.
$50 and it's locked down under my name.

Now I gotta figure out which shoes to get and get that locked up.
Another dealer also called to say they are getting a Blackberry Pearl at the same time. I was swayed to the BBP last week, but this weekend I swung back to SSM. So SSM it shall be.
