Fit Predecessor Civic wagon

I dont know how many of you know but the Fit has similar characteristics to that of the old Civic Wagon, aka Wagovan or in japan the Shuttle.

The rear seats werent "Magic" but they can still perform similarly to the Fit.

The reat seat cushion lifts up so that the seat back can fold down flat for cargo space.

This is a picture from the EF civic hatch. the front seats can fold down like the Fit but I like these more as they fold down flush wheras the Fit does not.

really? Cause when i slide the passenger seat forward and tilt the seat back it doesnt fit flush with the rear seat cushion. am I doing something wrong? or do I just have to force it to fit flush?

The back seats can be reclined a few degrees. Just use the rear seat release lever you would usually use to fold them forward. Instead push the seat back an inch or so (page 86 in your owners manual). This creates an angle to allow the front seats to fold back flush. This also removes the gap between the cargo cover (if you bought one) and the rear seats.

Sweet! Any more 'non beat up' pics of this car? Most of the pics that I found were just old beat up versions...

I had one in the 1980s.

A very good utility sub-compact wagon! It looked a lot better than the competition of that time - mainly the Toyota Tercel wagon - it has very clean lines, good useful seats, lots of room, OK driving and milage. I kept mine for 8 years and sold it for more than I paid for it!

I mentioned this like the first days I posted on this site.
The Fit IS the new age Wago. One of the main reasons why I bought the Fit, the Civic Wagovan is one of my favorite cars. They are so hard to find in good condition. I think its funny; almost sad that people have never noticed the Fit and the Wago's almost identical "refreshed" appearances.

One of my friends has a light blue Wago Dx. Lowered, wheels, exhaust, still rockin A/C too. She loves it.

I bet a lot of people on this site over a certain age realized the similarities between the two cars. I certainly did. But the Fit definitely looks a lot better than the Civic did out of the box. MX-6, the one in the pic is the best looking one I've ever seen. Very cool.

After many years of not seeing these on the road, they seem to be making a resurgence. It's almost as if people have pulled them out of the end of the driveway, and given them new life around here in Massachusetts.

I'd say it's exact, except it can't do tall mode.

It is ugly only b/c it was 1980s. The civic wagon is very rare. I only seen one in my entire life.
