We got a new 2008 Fit! Couple of questions

Well, my sister did actually, but I'm helping her break it in.
It's a 2008 NHB Base auto with no accessories because she needed very basic transportation

So I've been driving it the past couple of days and I love the way it handles. It feels so light and nimble - my car is a TSX for reference.
Although I'm used to driving stick in the TSX, I have to say that the engine and auto tranny are a great match for each other. It's eager to downshift at the tap of the throttle, and it's pretty smooth too.
Only a minor complaint on the downshift at low speeds, ~10-15 mph, you can feel a slight jerk.
Engine seems to love to cruise around 2300 rpm or so, much more relaxed than the TSX, 3000 rpm @ 70 mph in 6th

Also love the practicality and utility of the fold down seats and hatch

A couple of questions. We test drove the sport model, and I though the only differences were the paddle shifters, rims, fogs and rear spoiler.
Now I've learned that the base doesn't come with keyless, aux in, cruise. Might have been worth it to get the sport. Anyway...

1. Does it come with floor mats standard?
2. What have you 'base' guys been using for ipod connections? FM transmitter?
3. What's a good aftermarket keyless entry/remote/alarm?

First of all congratz on the new Fit, they are great cars! Your sister will love it! Great color choice by the way!

To answer your questions-

1-No, floor mats are not standard..If you get some, i reccomend the All weather mats made specificaly for the Fit. I have them and they are great!

2-Do a search for DIY aux jack and you can put one in yourself!

3-You can get one for the base Fit from Honda, i reccomend that one!

1. No. I picked one set from Walmart. Paid $16.99
2. I'm using a FM transmitter now but its not reliable. it go nuts during sometimes. so i bought a new audio jack. (Refer DIY audio jack installation for more info). i tried to take apart the head unit but didn't succeed. so i may buy a new mp3 player from Circuitcity during the thanksgiving sale or i may ask them to install the audiojack for me. (on their website i saw that they do basic installation like these for ~$16.)
3. Got one from circuitcity. paid ~300 including installation/bypass system/tax.
i got the python remote starter with keyless entry. base price was $200 but since the car has an immobilizer, they had to bypass it. guess what..u have to keep your second key inside the car all the time.anyway i really need a remote starter.
hope that helps
i'm also looking for a cruise control. i've asked a mechanic and has given the circuit diagram. most probably he won't do that (electrical stuff)..but anyway i'm waiting for his call.

Wait, so does this defeat the purpose of the immobilizer anti-theft system, e.g. the car can be stolen now?

If not, I'm sure having a second in the car is an added security risk?

i talked to the guy who installed my remote starter the other day about this and he told me that the immobilizer is bypassed only if you use the remote starter. in other words if you use a valet key (key without the chip) you won't be able to start/move the car.
the spare key is hidden under the dashboard,so it won't be accessible easily unless the thief knows the exact position
