Another brain dead dead punk driving an SI. Leave the deer alone. It is there planet also.

Same thing happen to me in Oct. Damages to repair my 09 Fit....$12500......just got it back last night. I was so happy when I saw my torn car repaired. FITs are deer killers. The deer I hit had no chance at a car goin 70 mph.

I agree that it's no fun hitting a deer, and then having to go thru the inconvenience of having your vehicle tied up in the shop for a week or 3, and having to pay either the deductible or the full amount for any required repairs. Been there, done that.
But we also have to try to keep everything in the proper perspective. The vehicle is just a machine, and it can be fixed(or totaled for a specified sum). The most important thing to consider is that hopefully the vehicle's occupants and any bystanders were not injured or killed. I've seen deer collision news reports where the occupants were either seriously injured or killed because the deer went thru the vehicle's windshield, or the driver lost control and slammed into another object. That's definitely not any fun.

The deer I hit hit my fron tleft light then whipped around crushing my back left door. Airbag thankfully deployed....the impact would have def thrown me through the window. The FIT is a real safe car. One of the few hatchbacks with 5 star crash ratings on all sides. I am def glad to be alive and fine. Still sucks wrecking a new car...will never be the same.

yes, you ARE a bad person for caring more about your Fit than the deer. even more so for admitting it and even more so for bringing this morbid, deer hating thread into existence. i sincerely hope aliens kill us all. we deserve it.
