More attention

Two things happened this morning - I did my early morning run for groceries and decided to stop and get gas first at my local Chevron. I had not gassed up for about two weeks as I was trying to use the tank up before I filled up again. The credit card swiper was out of order so I had to go inside. Told the cashier that I was getting close to empty and was not sure how much it was going to take. She told me just to fill it up and then come back to pay. Gas was $3.13 for regular! I filled it up and it came to $22.76. I went back inside to pay and she said, Oh my gosh - your car was almost on empty and it only cost you $22.76! What kind of car is that? Told her it was a Honda Fit and she said she had never seen one before. Explained that it was made in Japan and shipped to US and there were only about five people in our area who owned one. Then later was doing more Saturday morning errands, and went down our main drag in town going to the bank for my Aunt. They were getting ready to start a Veterans Day parade and people were lining the street. The police had not shut down the street so we were able to drive down - people were pointing at my car! I just had to laugh because they were standing there waiting on the parade to start and here comes this different looking car! LOL.

You've got a lot more leeway with filling up, if you were wondering. I filled up yesterday for $28.79 at $3.19 a gallon, I still could've gotten maybe another 15-20 miles out of the tank too.

Yup! I could have gone to the store and back without running out but I just never like to play with the possibility of running out of gas! I am just glad with the Fit my gas goes a lot longer and I am not filing up some monster SUV that cost me $50 to $100.00 to fill up every week!!!! When will the rest of the world wake up and realize how much our country could save in fuel if there were more Fits on the road.

I'm more concerned of those soccer moms' daughters driving said SUV while texting or talking on their cell phone.....and the occasional asshole driving the 90's Civic/Integra. I wish I could call the police and report them, but then I would be snitching =[

Guess what happened today. Went to the local Dollar General Store for a few paper goods and I always park on the side of the building. I came out and two guys were looking at my car. They had just walked away
from it when I was coming down the sidewalk. They asked me if the Fit was mine and I said yes. His niece in Virginia had just purchased one a VBP although she had wanted the BOM but settled on the VBP. They said they really liked the car but had never seen one in WV. They asked me about my Fit.Freak sticker and I told them about the forum. Told them they were having a Fit Meet in Virginia today that she might have enjoyed going to. They are going to e-mail her to sign up on the forum so she can be a Fit Freak too! I think my prosperity cat must have great Karma - for the little MR Fit.

I took my mom to the store this morning and i waited in the Fit, these dudes parked next to me in a new CRV and when they got out they walked around the car checking it out, when they noticed i was in the drivers seat they both said nice car and walked into the store, it was pretty cool!

I've got 20% tint all around on my Fit. I notice people doing that a lot if I'm just sitting inside it waiting for someone... it's pretty funny.

$3.05, Regular. Hahahaha! And people here complain!
I put 100oct in my Mx-6 at all times. Went up to $6.89

My Fit has always turned heads, no matter where I was. Now it does even more.
I loved being the only Fit at car meets, that doesnt happen much now. Guess the Mx-6 will start coming out again.

i just had one of those situations today, too.

i park directly in front of the store i work at (so i can keep an eye on my fit while i'm working , heh), but i wasn't paying attention today because we were busy. well one of my coworkers parked right next to me and went to her car on her break. she said there were two guys standing around asking each other "what is it? i like it...it even has 4 doors!!"

haha, made my day

You'll get even more attention by next summer when gas goes back up to over $4.00 a gallon.

Talking about attention, yesterday at costco parking lot a family guy in a van pulled up next to me and ran after me to ask what kind of mileage does it get and told me that it is a nice looking car.
