Finally Got It...

whats up guys i finally got my free C.F hood from SEIBON install here is some pics

Havent read thru the entire thread but that sucks but at least they replaced the hood. To get an OEM hood and paint it to match your car is probly a lot more costly than the CF hood.

Hood looks sweet. I guessed the lift into the ceiling mistake. I saw a friend of mine do it to his civic hatch a long time ago. He was one of the first to do a crv-vtech swap but he made it a lot more difficult when he did stuff like that. This guy I speak of now builds the engines for the race cars at Realtime Racing...go figure.

cf hoods are quite expensive, and if they installed a quality one, you came out on top, at their expense. (which obviously means they could have plopped the cash down for an actual oem hood, as the one you got is NOT oem. at least last time i checked my fit, i had no carbon fiber hood. )

its real alright i talk to someone that knew seibon carbon product...

yes indeed it would of cost close 800$ or more they told me...

Nice! Sounds like you went from WTF to FTW.

Eventually, I want an OEM CF hood for the weight savings, but I'll probably paint the outside visible surfaces VBP for a stock look.

i was thinking putting a clear coat of VBP paint next summer...
