Driver Window vs Pass. Window

So this might be a little dumb; Ive talked about it with local Fit owners at meets and stuff. I wanted to know if anyone has noticed this?

Hahahaa, I feel so dumb posting this.
Has anyone raced their driver side window against their passenger side window going up? The driver side basically ALWAYS wins!!!! I even give my passenger side window a head start at times. My driver side either wins or its a tie.

At least Im not the only idiot trying this. My friends that own Fits have noticed the same thing; with me bringing it up first.
Now everyone go try it and tell me what happens. You wont waste that much of your life.

lol, ive never tried this or noticed that the drivers side is faster..You would think that the passenger side would be faster because its typically used less then the drivers side..Im going to try it later though!

DO IT! Make it fair, start them at the same time. Keep the car on for full power.
Then give the pass. one a header start.

Really? I dont think mine are that slow. My moms tC windows are pretty quick. My Mx-6 windows are SLOW!!!! Hardcore slow. Like, if someones rolling up the window I could probably cover the whole car before ONE gets up.

I normally help them up so I dont burn the motors out. Shes old.

I have never timed them, but they seem OK, but yes, different speeds with the farside (drivers) the fastest.

Careful on those old regulators, I have lost a few over time, always happens in a bad part of town, when you have valuable stuff in the car or when it decides to rain for the first time in three months!

hahha yeah i noticed that my driver side was faster the very day i drove my fit home from the dealer because im picky like that. i thought it was just chance that the driver side was faster, just because i figured they wouldn't be the exact same speed. but if everybody's driver side is faster, than that's something else!

yea i noticed this too and i brought it up to the dealer. they said they will check it out but they were telling me my car is way too modified so they dont know wat will happen . when i do go back to them i will make sure they can see wats wrong with it and maybe see if they can fix it cuz none of my other cars have had this problem. i just thought this was covered so i never brought it up.

Most likely the passenger side has longer wiring from the relay/power source. This will give the passeneger side window regulator more resistance (electrical resistance) and make the passenger side slower. My Dodge truck was like that as well as my wife's Ford Escape.

WTFrench Toast?! They wont work on your windows because the car is modded?
I wouldnt worry about it. All Fits seem to have a faster driver window.

Thats true. My moms tC windows are the same speed. My dads Chevy pickups windows are the same also. Those are pretty quick.

Hahaha. Its fun! Ive read rolling up 2 or more windows is bad on fuses though. It says it in my Mx-6's owners manual and Ive read it in a few others too.

i also noticed my passenger window was slower when i bought it. i mentioned it to the dealer and he gave me the deer in the headlight look so i didnt worry about it. i did the race just to make sure and i did it from the drivers side and then had my roomate come out and do it from each door. my roomate thinks im nuts for being to picky. haha. the passenger side always lost. the back windows are the same for whatever reason. to make sure i did both back windows from the back and then seperately vs the driver controls and they are perfectly in sync. i feel pretty stupid for playing with my windows for almost 30 minutes though. haha.
