Welcome back Ken, we missed you. Even though you dislike letting the dealer work on your GK, you should get the stupid VTC rattle fixed before your 5/60 power train warr is up. You may have to park it at the service bay the night before, on a cold night and put a note on the steering wheel for only the tech to start it up so they can hear it on cold startup. My CRV was hard to document but now that they fixed the VTC rattle I dislike the car less.

hi vic! thanks and yah, i should. i mean it makes the noise almost every time now. my wife doesn’t care (honestly i’ve not cared either lately) and even if we do get it fixed it will come back so not sure if worth the hassle. my wife needs the car every day.

might do it when the carbon deposits kills the engine. . haha. bought the car in Aug 2015 so i have another year to decide i guess.

wet cold roads this am, no issue with grip in the WRX even through a little spirited run. love it.

so was looking at buying a set of take offs from a 2019 STI but realized today that the wheels alone weigh 28 lbs. wtf.. no wonder the 18 and 19’s are showing weak numbers vs the pre-refresh STI’s. the wheels on my STI are 24 lbs and i thought those were heavy. lol

my Golf-R’s factory 19’s are 20-21lbs.

so wat to do with the $2500 i just saved!

Hey evilchargerfan! Didn't realize there was a meet at Green Flash Brewery up in Miramesa/Sorrento Valley.

Also I have seen that black/white s2k around town from time to time. Was it strictly a s2k meet? (Edit; nvm i see that integ type-r. Which theres one in the same color/condition as that one in my neighborhood. Whenever I see him I tease I wanna buy it since its all stock)

The only updates for me are...remember those jobs I interviewed for back in September? Well I got the job! Passed my background, security clearance and got the thumbs up to start December 10th. Woot woot! Nice bump in pay as well so thats awesome.
Also this weekend going to Philly for the first time to visit a good friend from Friday-tuesday.
Bought my new Asus pg279q gaming monitor.
Now to keep an eye out for deals on a tool chest, ps4 and other random goodies like a new couch, shop vac etc.

Since I'll be leaving my current job it'll be a nice 'bonus' when I cash out my PTO/Comp time...I have 280+ hours accrued haha.

Maybe some wheels for the civic are in order...who knows.
Been on cloud 9 since I got the job news last week.
Happy hump day everyone!

Thanks Kenchan! What RC chassis?

I told you I sold ALL my RC stuff right? Made a nice dent in consolidating my 'stuff' and cleaned up the man-cave quite nicely.

Thanks Mike410b! Looking forward to it next month.

Haha nice. You looking at this chassis for race or drift?

Yeah I've gone through 4 RC phases. Once back in the mid 90's....early 2000's with nitro...mid 2000's racing shortcourse/truggy/buggy classes....then most recently RC crawlers like the ones by Axial.

I havent used them in over a year so made no sense, to me, to keep them. As I get older I'm getting more minimalist and less sentimental with 'things'. Wanna get on that Mike410b level with nice furniture/art

speaking of jobs foxconn is coming to WI. with median salary of $53k i heard.
no offense to anyone, but can’t buy shit with 53k. lol.

shinjari this is a road course chassis, no drifting. Well i could set it up for drifting but i’m more a clean driver with these 1/12 scale so. yah i can see wat ure saying about selling cause not using. hell if it makes sense for u, datz all that matters!

RC is one of those hobbies i keep coming back to even if i didn’t play with them for yrs. i’ve not driven my rc car since like early Spring this year, some for over a year.. but that doesn’t mean i have to sell them. i have no space for additional real cars but plenty for RC. lol

Yeah i can see that collecting thing. All good.

Interesting news about Foxconn.

As for race course chassis...the description I read about the product claims you can set it up for either race or drift. Even has a place to mount your gryo. What body do you plan to put on it?
