True... I edited my post. Funny thing is my Mx-6 has had a full repaint. Base coat, clear coat. Its not an awesome paint job at all but it does so well at hiding/prevent scratches. Im so proud of it!! (At times I hate it)
I use those hard brushes all the time at those car washes, no swirls. Woo Woo!

best to remove them using a claybar.
I never heard of that either....but this is from a body shop thats been in business for 30 years...so I guess it was possible.

After he mentioned that, I thought that maybe the rain water was baking into the paint of my spoiler/trunk lid. We would get some rain over night and my car would just sit in the sun all day...perhaps the water was baking in. The spots were the exact same shape as the water beads. (The kind you see after you wax)

I used polishing compounds that did nothing...this Hand Glaze was the saviour.

I will be using the Scratch X on my hood tonight. I will let you know the result.

UPDATE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH SCRATCH X. It appears to be similar to the Liquid Ice Clay Bar and did absolutely nothing for the swirl marks.

The Fits do NOT have a clearcoat on their paint. At least in Canada. I just bought a 2008 Fit Sport a few days ago. Clearcoating was offered to me as an additional option they were going to charge for (along with body undercoating, and protective sealant stuff on the carpets, and one other thing I can't remember now).
