The Edmunds blogger clearly doesn't understand a manual transmission.
To overcome a 'locked-out' reverse merely takes a shift to 1st, inch forward, put it in reverse, done.
It happens to all manuals and I've had 15 different cars with them.

Read the PM articles and they all are correct. The Fit is one great car that helps your wallet/pocketbook in todays tough economic times. At 37,000 miles, except for visits for oil changes every 4,000 to 5,000 miles, I just replaced the air filter, cabin filter and wiper blades. It still is running strong as ever.
