My "special" gift on this Christmas Eve

OK, I go outside to bring my family back to their house at 8:30PM tonight and this is what I find:

Cop comes and says yeah, this is the 9th one of these so far tonight.....

Nothing stolen and door never even opened, they just shot my window out

This happend in Bergen County, NJ Fair Lawn to be specific...

I guess it was an air pellet or BB gun as there was no damage I could see to the inside other than the tons of glass shards.

I have a $500 deductible and its going to cost $300, so I will be paying it.

I am glad that it was just a window, and that no one was hurt and that the car is still there. Much bigger hassell if they tried to steal it or rip out the radio or something.

I would say it was a Honda hater or Mets fan hater, but there were at least 8 other cars all mixed brands and most had some kinds of sports team or political markings on them, so it seems very random as far as the targets.

Hope fully I will get it fixed in next 2 days and be ready to go back to work on Monday. Lucky me took my vacation this week :banghead: It honestly was good as I dont need to miss work to sort this out, but not the most relaxing vacation

Sorry to hear dude!

My window on my civic was shot out as I was driving home from work about a month ago. Also $500 deductible. Search around. I was able to find replacement glass for $130 instead of the $360 my dealership wanted to charge me.

man i feel for your loss! my old car (98 camry) got broken into twice. first time, (tehre were actually two of them) they stole my huge case of cds, and my friends pants w/ phone, wallet, keys (we were out surfing). i came back to see my window shattered and cops looking at it. first i thought i parked in a red, but then they politely explained the situation why i waited in shock. THANKFULLY, they caught one guy on the run with my friends belongings(better we got his stuff back, then just my cds...) and i got to look at the stupid petty thief in the face as he was cuffed in the back of a cop car. they also searched his car, which they found illegal subtances, and a collection of stuff/ wallets. The county sent me a letter asking me how much i should be reimbursed. I quoted a little over a 1000, and about every month i received about $100! i wasnt really counting, but i think i received well worth it.

going back on to the subject.... im sorry to hear about that. nothing pisses me off more than vandals/thiefs. but karmas a b!tch!

how about last christmas, i was deathly sick and i woke up to my clifford alarm going off and someone had backed into my integra, leaving a nice, paint removing dent and displacing my front bumper. gotta love that christmas spirit.
