Cool story! Welcome.

Your two Fits look good together!

But as any photographer will tell you, when your shadow can't help but be in the shot,

you're supposed to wave!

I agree VBP is the best color!

Congrats and hope you are both happy for years to come.

Well, coming from Miataland (lightweight, RWD, open-top), I don't know too much about FWD cars. Back in highschool, hmmmm, say about 10 years ago, I had an '87 Honda Prelude Si (LOVED that car), and that's been my only experience with FWD.

I do plan on autocrossing my Fit, not regularly but maybe a handful times a year (pretty busy with graduate school for the foreseeable future). The only mods I would do would be a set of coilovers (do they have aftermarket coilovers for Honda Fits?) In my old Miatas, I'd typically have Ground Control coilovers on Yellow Koni Sport shocks, which is still a pretty popular setup for Miatas. Another popular item was Tein Flex coilovers.

However, I'm not sure if modifying the suspension is a capital idea in light of warranty issues. If aftermarket springs and shocks will void the warranty, than I think I'll wait my three years/36,000 miles. Though, some stickier rubber will most definitely be in order this spring or summer.

As far as interior changes, man an armrest is definitely needed. Think I'll ask Santa for one this Christmas.

Other than some coilovers, stickier tires, and an armrest, I don't plan on any mods.

As for her Fit, she's perfectly content the way it is, except the lack of armrest. I think Santa will both be bringing armrests this year.

I also got a 2008 BOM automatic Fit recently.

I visited the Honda dealer nearby and they had a Milano Red Fit but I was partial to the BOM automatic. I expected to be put on a waiting list but instead there was a dealership nearby that wanted to trade a BOM for the Milano. I purchased the BOM automatic and I've even seen the Milano driving around a couple of times.

The salesman I dealt with was awesome. This was my first new car purchase but I didn't experience any of the horror stories I had heard before I went in. I expected them to be really pushy but that wasn't the case at all.

My last vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler but there are plenty of things I'm not missing about it. I love the Fit.

My only mods so far are a JDM coin holder and a Zeta dead pedal that I learned about while lurking on your forums.
