Unhappy Unlucky week...

Well, if the start of this week wasn't bad enough, I discovered the rear driver's side window's regulator went out (i'm out of warranty -- $450... ouch) This is right after getting about $3500 in repairs done to the driver's side after being T-boned...

Today, after a buncha snow fell, I go outside to discover I got sideswiped by a schoolbus!!!

The whole driver's side is ruined... again. My driver's side mirror is history. Anyone know where I can pick up a painted one cheap? I checked all the junk yards, to no avail... Any info would be appreciated.

Dang man sorry about the crapulence. It happens, keep the chin up, on the good side no one got hurt and cars can be fixed. Same thing happened to my Integra back when I had the car. It was parked outside my house and some drunk bastage side swiped it and took off.

INSURANCE.

Play dumb about the window regulator... get the car fixed, and if they don't fix the regulator, go back to the insurance and tell 'em it worked before the car was hit, so they should cover fixing it.

If the car is badly damaged, ask the insurance adjuster if he will total the car instead of repairing it. It may be cheaper for the insurance company to pay you the value of the car rather than having it repaired. With the money, you can buy a new or a good used Fit.

I wish! Then I could use the GAP insurance i bought... unfortunately, i would have to take to it with a sledge hammer for a couple hours to get the damage into that range.

It's looking like it's only gonna cost around $400 for the body work -- now I just need to find the mirror for cheap somewhere.

--if anyone knows where i could get one, please let me know.--
