Smile New Honda Fit Blackberry Blue 2008 owner

Hey all! I've been trolling these forums for awhile but finally mustered the fortitude to introduce myself.

I bought a beat-up, used Civic '01 DX with million miles on it and drove it for a year before it broke down... vowed to never buy used or a DX model ever again. Now I'm a proud owner of 2008 Blackberry Blue Honda Fit, purchased back in Nov '07. Had a great experience with the local Honda dealer - no hassle, a fair trade-in deal and great service. Anyone in Rochester, NY area - go to John Holtz Honda! Highly recommended.

Initially I didn't like the color at all. Blackberry Blue's more purple than blue, I personally think it's misleading. But it's grown on me... it's unique and I like the metallic speckles.

Right now, poor Fit's covered in salt and snow but here's a picture of my car when upstate NY was actually pleasant --->

I wasn't too thrilled about the color at first, but once I saw a blackberry fit in person, I was sold! Blackberry is my personal fav with exception of taffeta white. It's all good tho, I can just switch with my sister from time to time, since she drives a TW fit! lol

Blackberry Blue???

I bought a 08 Blackberry Pearl fit in nov of 07 as well. Where did this blue come from. Does it say that on the sticker? If so it must be the rarest fit color yet. BBP=Blackberry Pearl. No blue unless you mean little specks in the paint typical of pearls.

I'm sure he means Blackberry Pearl, which is of course Honda's cutesy name for dark purple.
Mine is a blue one ("vivid blue pearl") but I swear I haven't ever been able to see the "pearl" look in my paint job. It's just bright blue. All automakers make up these ridiculous names for their paint colors. Would people be more likely to buy a car that's "Moonglow Bronze Metallic", or one that's brown?

Welcome, MBPMacDaddy. Good-looking purple car! I might have gone with that color myself if it had been available in '07.

How's your Fit been in the snow?; I'm thinking about buying one soon. I figure if anyone would know, someone from upstate NY would.

Welcome fellow BBP owner.
I love the color, I hate the salt. I'm also wondering how bad the pollen will be in spring...only time will tell.

Fit handles surprisingly well in the snow. I got Blizzaks (sp?) installed on steel wheels purchased from tirerack.com and I've yet to spin out or lose control during BAD snowstorms... seen couple of ditched Subarus and Chevy SUV's on the highways out here. So, yeah, Fit's finesse has served me well.

Yeah sorry that was I typo, I mean Pearl. The salesperson convinced me that it was a "berry-ish blue" and Blackberry BLUE's been stuck in my head the whole time.
