Need help picking between the two !

Okay so I posted on here before but now its come down to two different choices and its a bit frustrating to pick which one I really want.

Okay so I live in LV and its very hard to find a used fit with a manual tranny just because my dad said I have to pick from a dealer because he has a loan check. Anyways I found two thats in my budget range.

1) Honda Fit 2009 w/ 48,976 miles on it. Its silver which I like the color. $13,491

2) Honda Fit 2008 w/ 28,479 miles on it. Its the vortex blue but honestly I never was really into the blue color. $12,991

Now Im kind of leaning towards the blue fit just because it has lower miles and I feel like its more new BUT its blue which im not to crazy about (but then again I might just have to deal with it and I might eventually like it) and its a year older a 2008.

The silver fit is an 09 but has more miles on it. I like the color better and its 1 more year newer than the blue fit.

Now is there a big difference between the 08 and the 09 model fit?

Are these base or sport models?

Is a new car completely out of the question? A new MT base Fit has an MSRP of $15,425 + $790 destination, and often you can get better financing deals on a new car (if you're getting a loan). For $3000ish more, you'd getting a brand new car, with a factory warranty, rather than a 4-5 year old car that may or may not have been well maintained.

The current base model is quite decently equipped; the differences between it and the current sport are basically just fog lights, audio controls on the steering wheel, steel wheels vs. alloys, and body trim (spoiler, skirting, etc.).

For the two cars you've listed, neither one has high milage for its age. A lot more depends on what kind of miles they were (highway driving mainly, or city driving, or dirt roads...) and how well the previous owner took care of the car. Either one should be a decently reliable car. I think 2009 (in the US) was a complete redesign vs. the 2008 model.

Thanks for your response ! But yeah they both are the base models and not sport. Well about the new car, here in vegas there is literally only 1 new 2013 fit sport with a manual tranny. I went to go test drive it and completely fell in love with it. We offered the guy 17k out the door but he declined it and asked for 19k which is too much. Maybe because it was the sports model?

Also what kind of redesign did they do? Any major changes?
