Yea that was me. Its well worth it imho. Its a great stretch of road just watch for the cops. They are getting really silly over there. We should try to do a meet somewhere over there and hit the dragon as a group. That would be sweet!!!!

My local crappy tire carries the struts, I'll look into possible mounting points and I might be able to fabricate a cheap bracket to mount them onto. Only thing I need is the approximate length of the Carry Boy ones so I have an idea of how long I need.

 

Isn't there a banner ad on the same page as this thread for Endura-Tech offering hood dampers? I clicked on it and sure enough... check them out. I have talked with them on the phone about coilovers-- very cool and knowledgeable guys.

Yeah no worries...I know a few guys have the Carry Boy ones modified from the JDM ones. I'll just have to do some rough measurements tonight and hopefully I can make something work. If I can, I might be able to make a few sets for you guys

 

there was a guy that went to our megameet this past weekend (hondafittuner) something like that. i think james (sd_mr_fit) knows him. but i remember seeing he had one damper on his hood. im trying to see if anyone at the meet took a picture of it.

 

it was a NRG damper

 

Yeah the ones at Crappy Tire are some other brand, but look not too bad. Not sure if they will be too stiff for the hood. They are going for $30 a pop regardless of size. Hoping I can fab my own for $75 or less

I saw the banner a week or so ago and thats what reminded me that i needed a set. I wish they had some for the fit though cause i love me some CF.
