More on Mats

Hi All,

I am due to take delivery on a new Fit in April, and am trying to decide what kind of mats to get for it.

I looked at ROADWORKSAUTO.COM --WE ARE YOUR #1 SOURCE FOR ALL VEHICLE MATS. to see what is offered. It appears that two companies make custom mats for the Fit (access them on the right side of the Roadworks homepage). The two are Tuff Design Hexmats with four mats costing $89.99, and Rubber Tite mats for $64.99. The pictures make it look like these mats offer more floor coverage than the Honda factory equipment rubber mats.

Has anybody out there tried either? I'd really appreciate some feedback. Thanks very much.

I love my carpet floor mats, especially with summer right around the corner, when I'm wearing flip flops I'll be driving barefoot a lot

I may go with the Honda mats. But I've read some posts on a different thread stating that they aren't deep enough to hold much water, like you'll get when you jump in the car with snow on your boots. (I live in Vermont. Do we ever get snow.) So I'm looking at some alternatives.

I have the Honda ones, very durable and fit like a glove, plus they have handy little hooks to stop them moving about, one annoying thing though, when my training shoes are wet they make a squeeking noise on the carpet every time i press the clutch in LOL.
