Safety question
My 2008 Fit Sport has been tested to some US Gov test and rated 5 stars for Drive and Passenger for a "Front Crash" and that's as good as they come. Under "Side crash", it's again 5 stars, but only 3 for the rear occupants. I'm pretty sure your 2008 is the same
So to me the rear passangers are 2 stars less safe than in the Front. Pretty good how I figured that hu lol
The driver side visor has a placard that says children should be in the back because of air bags. I understand that for toddlers and babies no problem.
The cars passenger seat is equipped with a weight sensor and lock on the air bag based on min weight.
OK that defines the car, best they tell me.......
I take my 15 year old daughter to the bus stop every weekday. Based on the above, I moved her to the front seat when I got the Fit. She has been in the back all these years in my 3/4 Suburban that I sold.
Anyone given any thought to this? I did not see anything like it in the search on this site.
Did I make the right call on this, in spite of the Honda Visor placard?
