New fit owner, just made my intake too!

Hey whats up, been a lurker for awhile now. I just got an 08 Fit, thought I would say hi, and toss a couple of pictures up. I had an Aveo, I bought it because i got it under 10k with my GM discount, then a lady ran into me and totaled it, so I got a Fit. Havent done much to it yet, Ive had it for 3 days now, love it. After I was off the clock tonite, I made an intake for it. Sorry its kinda ugly, I didnt have time to polish it, but it will be a mirror finish when I do .

The piping is Vibrant Aluminum piping Vibrant Performance ::.

The filter is a Green Filter Green Filter USA

Here an idea of what itll look like when polished

SlowMotion Motorsports

thanks

Nice intake did you do the welding? Does your filter have an open end where it is abutting the opening in the fender or is it closed?

Thats pretty neat. It should shine up pretty nice when you polish it up. Nice DIY and welcome to Fitfreak and congrats on your upgrade from the aveo.

I made the cuts and such, i can tig steel, sorta, havent tried aluminum yet though. My coworker welded it for me once i got it all fabbed up. It is a closed urethane cap on the filter, so no i do not have a pipe that goes into the fender.
