It's true.. while installing my cold air intake... i saw on the passenger side, paint peeling! no washer installed... but did see some make-shift electrical tape in the general area... maybe i'll add more tape. 08's check it and report here please!

I havent heard many 08 owners report this problem. Good thread to see who is having the issue with there 08. I still have not had it happen on my 07.

Just bought my 08 last week and haven't had a problem yet. I checked it yesterday to make sure and they do seem a bit tight, so I installed some washers on all 4 corners just to be safe.

 

yeah i should stop by home depot or something to get some this weekend. Do they have to be small ones? cause the space looks pretty small unless they stick out

 

I had a box full of washers laying around that I bought from sears a while ago. It runs about 6 bucks. You can do that or just remove one of the screws at the bumper and guesstimate a washer size. It's a phillips and very easy to access. Took a few minutes to do. I also found a thread you could reference from if you'd rather take it to your dealer.
