rear view mirror

So i was driving home the other day. and poof, the whole mirror and plastic thing in the headliner just fell off. Of course this really doesn't suprise me. Because of the subwoofers in my car when they are really pounding the windsheild wipers bounce off the windsheild and the area where the windsheild and roof meet flexes pretty good.

That must be a pretty intense setup you got there. Can you even hear the higher frequencies of the music? My JL will shake the mirror to the point that I can't use it because it's pointed at the floor but I've never gotten it to fall off. The mirror in my old Dakota used to fall off all the time when I had the Kicker L7 in it tho.

well i am a manager for a car stereo store and my car is basically a test bed for systems. right now its 2 kicker cvr 12's in a ported box with a planet audio 1250wrms amp and a kenetic 600 batt in back all 1/0 guage wiring. I need to put a bigger battery in the back tho because the lights still dim some. if i'm playing the subs at a decent level my mirror is useless. And this car's mirror makes the most aggravating rattling noise of any vehicle i've owned. My car has had everything from 2 8" subs to 2 15". From 300 to 1900 watts. The loudest system was probably two RF T112s with a planet audio 1400wrms amp. That would really hit the low notes good. If i had the front windows down about 2 inches it felt like i had the A/C on full black there was so much air moving in and out. If i can get a girl with long hair and a camera i'll see if i can get a hair trick going.

Unfortunately this stuff takes a toll on the acceleration, braking and handleing of the fit. So when i do finally put what i want in i think its going to be just 1 12". Something simple.

Btw. I still have the factory highs running off of an Alpine CDA-9887. And they are kickin it pretty good. I'll eventually upgrade them but at the moment they been able to keep up pretty well. When i get another camera i'll post some pics.

*edit* I'll see if i can get a video thats good enough to catch the wipers bouncing from the inside and outside and catch the roof flexing.

"Can you hear me now?"

That is one heck of a system if you can make your rear view mirror fall off. PICS!
