Jerks Forward on Incline From Stop

So this has happened twice, I was stopped at a light on a slight incline and when it was time to start moving I press on the gas and the car jerks forward. The first time this happened it started moving before jerking forward.

Anyone experienced this before? I'm thinking one of the wheels probably slipped on something and then gained traction again. My friend's PathFinder does this every time, seems like it's programmed to do a "jump start" from stop, but I don't expect it on the Fit.

Ive never once expirienced this in my AT.
Maybe it is, like you said, wheels slippage. Then when the wheels do track up it jerks you foward. Thats my best guess.

was the car fully warmed up?

Sometimes the DBW does not respond as well when the car is cold.

I almost misread your title. "Jerks" Thought u were referring to someone. Let's see, I get that on my mom's CRV on an incline sometimes. Dunno why but it happens.

It is possible that a wheel is slipping while accelerating over the "limit line" in the street. There is less traction on the paint than on the pavement. This happens more when the road is wet and when accelerating harder, like up an incline.

I almost misread it wrong too. I think everyone might be right on the wheel slippage. Happend to me a few times on my first car I owned.
